JACQUES LIPCHITZ (French, 1891-1973)

This sculpture was created and cast by the artist in 1922. It is the original cast with his name and address on a label inside the sculpture, in his writing.
Copies of letters between Lipchitz and Ray Stark discussing the sculpture also accompany this piece. It is also illustrated in situ in a 10 page feature about the Stark collection in the Architectural Digest issue of December 1986. A copy of this magazine can accompany the sculpture.
