Whitford Fine Art is currently showing a selection of works from 20th Century European artists Milderd BENDALL, CAZIEL and Cissie KEAN.
Whitford Fine Art is pleased to announce its forthcoming exhibition on Caziel entitled "Je suis Abstrait": Works from the 1950.
This one-man show brings together works from this pivotal development in Caziel’s career. It includes the early abstract paintings, which combine a Cubist-influenced aesthetic and geometric decomposition, as well as the subsequent paintings with biomorphic shapes. With these works Caziel believed that, as possibly Picasso and Braque did when they invented Cubism, he was reaching for a higher order of reality, a new perspective, which hinted at a spiritual, fourth dimension.
