DOKOUPIL, JIRI GEORG (Czech, b.1954)

Born in Czechoslovakia and emigrated to Germany in 1868. He studied inCologne and Frankfurt during 1976-1978. He joined the artist group'Mulheimer Freiheit' in 1985 and took part in the large retrospectiveexhibition 'Kunst in der Bundesrepublik 1945-1985' in theNationalgalerie in Berlin. One-man shows of his work were hosted bythe Museum Folkwang in Essen, the Kunstmuseum in Luzern and the MuseumModerner Kunst , Palais Liechtenstein, Vienna.
