BRODDA, BERNHARD (German, 1912-1972) Painter and printmaker Bernhard Brodda studied at the Kunstgewerbeschule in Berlin during 1927-1930.He continued his studies at the Berlin Hochschule für Bildende Kunst, 1930-1933, where he was a pupil of Carl Hofer until his dismissal by the National Socialists. In 1933-34 Broda was a pupil of Hans Meid at the Preusische Akademie der Kunst, Berlin.
Bordda’s work was exhibited at the Galerie Fleichtheim (1931) and at Galerie Buchholz (1932). From 1948 onwards, Brodda’s researches into constructivist art brought him to Informal painting.
