Masterpiece London was launched in June 2010 to global acclaim and was held at the former Chelsea Barracks. 118 exhibitors participated in the first fair and there were over 18,000 visitors to the inaugural event.
Masterpiece London 2011 was equally spectacular and saw the fair move to its permanent home on the South Grounds of the Royal Hospital Chelsea. Over 28,000 visitors came through its doors over the 8 days of the fair. Notable visitors included HRH Prince Harry, Sir Elton John, Oprah Winfrey, Anish Kapoor, and Tom Ford. 152 of the world's leading dealers participated at the 2011 event.
A spectacular Midsummer Party was held in support of CLIC Sargent which raised over £400,000.
Now in its third year Masterpiece London confirms its position as the capital's leading art and antiques fair. This is no ordinary event, but a forum for distinctive design and aesthetic excellence where every exhibit offered is scrutinized by a team of experts to ensure every confidence in each purchase. Masterpiece London - already renowned for its sophisticated dining, courtesy of Urban Caprice - adds the magnificent Scott's Champagne & Seafood Bars to its stable this summer, alongside classic Members' Club Harry's Bar, The Mount Street Deli, and an a la carte lunch or dinner at the timeless Le Caprice. A veritable feast to tempt the most discerning of visitors.
